Eddie Palmieri and his orchestra performing at Cultura Viva.
Description:
Eddie Palmieri plays the piano while his orchestra members accompany him with maracas, bass, and conga and bongo drums. In 1993, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Inquilinos Boricuas en Acción, the annual fundraising gala known as Cultura Viva was held at the Wang Center for the Performing Arts (now called the Citi Performing Arts Center). Eddie Palmieri, a Grammy Award winning bandleader and pianist, and his orchestra provided the music for this night of dancing and celebration.
