From a set of two boxes of lantern slides by Dr. Robert Battey Greenough, covering his service in 1915 with the First Harvard Unit and the American Ambulance in France during World War I. Lantern slide taken in France during World War I, showing a patient in bed with a cast from his foot to his mid-torso. An open area at the hip is stabilized with metal cage-like supports to add stability while still allowing access to wounds on the hip and thigh.
