Title (alt.):
AT THE FRENCH THEATER. - Come on, my dear....., let's go!..... I promise you King Oedipus is finished!....... Charivari
Description:
A woman tries to wake up her husband after the theater performance has finished. The "Comédie Française" was established as early as 1680 under Louis XIV as a theater. After having occupied several locations in Paris, the theater finally found its final destination in a dependence of the Palais-Royal in rue Richelieu. The articles of association are dating back to the times of Napoleon Bonaparte (1812) and are still valid today.
