Letter from George Thompson, Manchester, [England], to Maria Weston Chapman, 1841 [November 19]
Description:
George Thompson writes to Maria Weston Chapman adding a postscript to a letter to say that another abolitionist must stay till the Columbia sails "on the 4th prox." He will return "richly freighted for the Bazaar." He asks if she can postpone for a few days to ensure this individual's arrival and time for arrangement. He is doing good work here and will return to be a "blessing to the cause he so appropriately and eloquently champions."
