Typed on back: Part of a zone of crushing the plane of which is parallel or nearly parallel with the foliation of the schist. The planes of movement can be seen in the picture especially at the right of the center. These planes are striated with the striae parallel to the direction of maximum dip (north 36degrees east). The dip is 31degrees to the northeast. The crag and tail structures indicate that this is a reverse or thrust fault, that is, that the upper right has moved upward to the left over the lower left. This is in contrast to most of the movement planes which are of the normal fault type. On Reference set copy, caption includes "Photo Remington".
