Gold Mining Revives in California. Business Depression has resulted in hundreds of persons at various occupations trying their luck at gold mining in California. This photo, taken near big Tujunga Creek, Less than 30 miles from Los Angeles, shows Fred Livingston, formerly a mewspaper printer in Montana, now unemployed, panning with an ordinary skillet. He and other amateurs say they can make between $2 and $3 a day if they work hard enough.
