Je viens prévenir le roi Agamemnon qu'on va commencer le 4e acte..... il faut qu'il se dépêche, sans cela il sera mis à l'amende.
Title (alt.):
I have come to warn the king Anamemnon that they have started the fourth act..... he has to hurry up, otherwise he will be fired.. Charivari
Description:
An actor has come to warn King Agamemnon that the fourth act is about to start and he should hurry up or suffer the consequences. These prints give an insight to scenes behind the stage which were previously unthinkable, thus demystifying in a charming way the image of the actor. Even a Caesar or King Richard is dealing with the little problems of everyday life.
