Notes:
Students gathered each weekday for the "morning exercises," a mixture of prayer, hymn, and lecture. A platform sat at the front of the room, where the principal Albert G. Boyden sat at the center, with George H. Martin (instructor of history and civil polity, physics, mineralogy, geology, algebra), Barrett B. Russell (arithmetic, chemistry), and Franz Kirmeyer (Latin, French, German) seated on his left, and Eliza B. Woodward (drawing) and Clara A. Armes (vocal music, algebra, geometry) seated to the right.
